The difference between steelmaking and steelmaking is whether there is a carbon-oxygen reaction in the molten bath. Domestic scrap is mostly light and thin materials, and the carbon content is generally relatively low. Therefore, in order to realize the transformation from steel to steelmaking, the first thing to do is to increase the carbon in the molten pool to more than 0.2 percent, and then keep it close to the steel. Since oxygen must be injected into the depth of the molten pool in order to realize the carbon-oxygen reaction in the molten pool, the method is to use a cluster jet oxygen lance, which has a long enough range to ensure safe use. Some manufacturers also use a large flow single hole oxygen lance for deep blowing. The author does not recommend this method for the time being. This is not an economical method, and it is more suspected of deception. Of course, facts speak louder than words, depending on future development.

When it comes to increasing carbon, there are many methods. Some manufacturers add pig iron or mechanical iron, some add graphite carbon balls, and some inject a large amount of carbon powder. In fact, all of them can meet the requirements. The key is to master the timing of joining, whether to add first or later, whether to add quickly or slowly, and how much to join. What this article recommends today is to use the method developed by Tnorum Company to continuously bring the carbon powder sprayed into the furnace into the molten bath with an oxygen jet. This method can continuously increase the carbon of the molten pool. The core of the increase is the jet intensity of the oxygen lance and the range of the carbon lance.

At present, the author in some iron and steel enterprises to achieve a ton of steel power far more than 1.2 times the actual load of the transformer, the reason is only one point, make full use of the carbon oxygen reaction, hope this paper can bring some ideas to the iron and steel workers, in the future market competition always take the lead.
